Welcome!
This is a blog by person who loves cooking and needs to keep all of her recipes and cooking advice in one place. As a full-time vegetarian and sometimes vegan, I try to eat as many healthy and animal-free meals as possible. Now, everyone has a slightly different idea of what healthy means. In my cooking, healthy means high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, low in dairy, sugar, and proccessed anything.
That said, I am actually a junk-food junkie with a debilitating sugar addiction. Not all of my recipes will subscribe to this definition of healthy, and there are certain ingredients I include in otherwise healthy-tagged recipes simply because I love them. Examples of these include honey, eggs, and goat cheese. There will also be some really unhealthy recipes that I love, particularly when it comes to breakfast and baking. Sometimes I may tag some recipes as gluten-free; I do not consider a recipe's gluten content to be indicative of its healthiness. However, if I make something that happens to be gluten-free, I will point that out for anyone who chooses to take that into consideration.
Not every recipe I will write about is original, but I will do my best to always credit the source. My posts will likey not contain pictures (unless I make something really pretty that I want to show off) because taking and uploading pictures is a lot of work.
In conclusion, here you will find the ramblings, recipes, tips, and insights of a person with no formal training to speak of who loves to cook foods that are healthy and delicious (not always both at the same time, occasionally neither).
